Investment Advisor Services: Asset Allocation

First Minnetonka Investment Center (FMIC) helps you prioritize your financial goals. Don’t know what your investment objectives are? That’s okay. We look at many factors such as your dreams, your time horizon, risk tolerance, and current financial situation. What do you want to save money for? An emergency fund, a bigger home, college expenses, retirement, or all of the above! We formulate a customized asset allocation portfolio to meet your short, intermediate, and long-term needs.

In the asset allocation mix, we will consider the three basic asset types: stocks, bonds, and cash. This investment strategy involves the diversification of your assets among multiple asset types as well as diversification within asset types. Our goal is always to help you minimize risk while seeking an appropriate return on investment.

An aggressive asset allocation approach would include a high percentage of stocks; a more conservative allocation will have a lower percentage of stocks and a higher percentage of bonds and cash assets.

No one portfolio will meet the needs of everyone and it may seem overwhelming at first. But meeting with our investment consultant is comfortable and you’ll immediately see how they can make putting together an investment plan easy and understandable. And, you’ll be able to meet periodically to keep the allocation in balance with your life and to the market.

Investing involves risks, including the potential for principal loss. Diversification and asset allocation do not assure a profit or guarantee against loss.
